HEEB'S THUMP HERRON'S, HYLANDS MOVE OUT OF CELLAR

The Heeb team moved with-in a point and a half of first place with a 10 to 0 pasting of the perennial powers Herron team. Wrought with illness and out of town commitments the Herron's team make shift line was not enough to over take the defending champion Heeb team. Some say that Ron Herron became ill with the thought of playing the Heebs due to the possible revenge factor of his no Heeb buttons produced at the outing. The loss drop Herrons into 6th place and 22.5 points out of first. The Hyland's team impressive performance, a 8 to 2 victory over the Carpenter team moved them from last place into 5th. For the second week in a row the Hyland team recorded low net, and it was without Armando

Tim Schulz shot a 38 to win honors for low gross for the week. Tim has now shot 38 or better for the last four weeks in a row. Johnny "boy" Real continued his sandbagging ways by shooting a 39 with a 10 handicap for a net 29. After shooting a 44 the week before John was upset to find out that his handicap dropped to a 9. He is petitioning the league to always be a 12. Hylands team had low net at 136. Other hot sticks, Frank Hron 39 and Jack Nelson's and Steve "Karesek Park" net 31's. I guess you could count the 2 member Powell team, with a 69 net as low, but we try to have 4 players for the official records.

THIS WEEKS BIG SHOWDOWN

Herron vs. Melingagio at 5:15. Even though this is only the eighth week of the season ths proves to be a crucial match for any championship aspiration for both teams. Herron's desperatly need a win over a top team and Melingaio can not afford to fall of the pace any further. Herron's have loaded up the their big guns and promise a different result from last week. Depending on the Kirchhoff vs Carpenter match 5:30, Herron's and Melingagio could also meet July 12 on position night. Other Matchups Heeb vs some of the Powell team at 5:00 and Dougherty against the red hot Hyland Team at 5:45. Remember there is no League play on July 5th.
